Vide RTI application dated 27.07.2020, following information sought under RTI Act from EPFO HQ, this RTI is filed by Respected Parveen Kohali. This Information is shared for ready reference to EPS 95 Pensioners and record.
1. Latest & updated copies of the following....
- (a) Employees Provident Fund (Staff and conditions of service) Regulations, 1962 as the copy available on the website of EPFO is amended upto 31.8.1992
- (b) Employees Provident Fund Services Manual as the copy available on the website of EPFO is amended upto 30.9.1972
- (c) Employees Provident Fund Organisation (Staff Contributory Provident Fund) Regulations, 1960 as the copy available on the website of EPFO is amended upto 30.9.1972
- (d) Pension scheme applicable for the EPFO Staff as prepared on the lines of the liberalized pension-cum-gratuity Scheme
2. What percentage of the emoluments is being contributed every month towards staff pension fund/ scheme by
- (a) EPFO employees from their salaries
- (b) EPFO
3. What is the criteria of fixation of pension of EPFO staff.
4. EPFO staff is governed with which pension rules/scheme. Please provide its latest copy.
5. Copy of the approval of EPFO staff pension scheme as accorded by the competent authority.
6. Copy of the updated regulations relating to grant of benefit of pension and contributory provident fund for the staff of EPFO.
7. Copies of the Income Expenditure statements, final accounts, P&L & balance sheet of the EPFO Staff Pension Fund account for the last five years.
8. What is the source of funds/corpus from which EPFO staff gets monthly pension
9. Yearly closing balance of pension fund/corpus on the closing of last five years
10. Yearly head wise detail of income generated by the pension fund during the last five years
11. Yearly amount of pension disbursed to EPFO staff during the last five years
12. Yearly interest earned on corpus of EPFO staff pension fund during the last five years
13. What are the sources of income of EPFO from which EPFO disburses the salary, pension and incurs all other administrative expenses
14. What are the conditions of service of EPFO staff in the matter of pension and other superannuation benefits
15. Details of medical facilities/benefits being allowed to EPFO staff during (a) while in service and (b) after their superannuation and from which source of funds such expenditure is being met.
16. What is the percentage rate of contribution by the staff/subscribers of EPFO towards
(a) Contributory provident fund
(b) Pension Scheme of EPFO Staff
(c) What is the percentage rate of contribution by the EPFO towards the contributory provident fund & Pension fund of the staff of EPFO
17. What is the status of EPFO employees
- (a) Are they Govt. of India employees
- (b) Are they CBT(EPF) employees
- (b) Are they getting salary from the consolidated funds of India
18. How much percentage of the last salary of relevant months is admissible to EPFO staff as monthly pension.
19. At what rates, pensioners of EPFO got DA on pension during the last five years?
On 17 Sep 2020, 13:39 Parveen Kohali Received reply in r/o Point No. 15 through email from Martand Singh Chandrawal ms.chandrawal@epfindia.gov.in which is being shared for the information of my pensioner friends as under:
In response to point no 15 of your RTI, it is stated that the serving employees in Delhi, Jaipur are covered under CGHS Scheme and medical benefits are governed as per CGHS rules. Serving Employees out side the above mentioned areas and the pensioners of EPFO are covered under CS(MA) Rules and FMA @ 2000 Rs is given to them. The source of fund is the Account No 2 of EPFO.

EPS’95 Pensioners may please note that:
Fixed Medical Allowance (FMA) is paid @Rs1,000 to the Central Government Pensioners but surprisingly, EPFO Staff & Pensioners are getting FIXED MONTHLY ALLOWANCE (FMA) @Rs. 2,000 per month
(Copy of the circular of GOI reg. Fixed Medical Allowance is also attached for ready reference)
Fixed Medical Allowance (FMA) is paid to the EPFO Staff & Pensioners from the Administrative Charges collected from the Employers (Account no. 2 of EPFO)
On the other hand, maximum of the EPS’95 Pensioners are getting pension between Rs. 500 to Rs. 3000 p.m. only
