EPS 95 Pension Calculation on Higher/Actual salary and also Calculation of NORMAL Pension & Pension on Higher/Actual Salary

Calculate EPS 95 Higher Pension Below:

As Parveen Kohali Sir, receiving a large number of telephonic requests for sharing an UPDATED TEMPLATE for calculating Differential amount & Interest amount payable to EPFO for revision of Pension on Higher/Actual salary and also Calculation of NORMAL Pension & Pension on Higher/Actual  Salary (Tentative) in accordance with EPFO HQ circular dt. 23.3.2017. 

Accordingly, on Parveen Kohali Sirs personal request, his Ld. friend Mr. Neeraj Bhargava of Jaipur with constant interactions/ consultations with me and technical support from Mr. C. Ramasamy of Bangalore has developed the said updated Template wherein data can be calculated upto 31.3.2021. 

FIRST, PLEASE READ THE INSTRUCTIONS AND THEN FEED DATA IN THE INPUT WORK SHEET IN PINK CELLS ONLY.  YOU WILL GET THE TENTATIVE RESULTS IN THE RESULT WORKSHEET INSTANTANEOUSLY.

Please see the file and also share the same in all the groups so that maximum beneficiaries i.e. pensioners as well as serving employees may make full use of our effort.

Instruction:

Please read Instructions given in INSTRUCTIONS sheet carefully before proceeding for EPS-95 Pension Calculations

1. This Excel file is prepared for the benefit of pensioners, “who joined the Scheme prior to the introduction of Employees' Pension Scheme-1995,
Before 16-11-1995”, for knowing pension & allied calculations based on their monthly salaries."

2. Pension Calculations for All retirees i.e. before or after 01.09.2014
  • a. Normal Pension
  • b. Higher Pension
  • c. Differential amount to be paid to EPFO
  • d. Interest amount from 16-11-1995 till retirement
  • e. Interest amount from retirement till commencement of Higher Pension
  • f. Pension Revision Arrears (Higher & Normal Pension difference)"
3. Calculations done for Superannuation Pension only, i.e. cases wherein there is NO Commutation, NO Return of capital, NO Early/Reduced pension etc.

4. The calculations in this file are formulae based, whereas calculations done by EPFO has manual interventions also 

5. The calculations have been developed based on few pensioners actual data, if anyone has further inputs to improve it, please mail on “pensionseva.jpr@gmail.com”

6. Rate of Interest for 2019-20 is yet to be approved by Ministry of Finance and Rate of Interest for the year 2020-21 is yet to be declared

7. The "Pensionable Salary" has been calculated on the average salary of last 12 months for all, (whether pre 01.09.2014 or post 01.09.2014) because Hon'ble Kerala High Court's judgment was upheld by Hon'ble Supreme Court on 01.04.2019 and implemented as such to Petitioners of Contempt cases by EPFO ROs, Kerala
8. Refer Judgment dt. 05/10-02-2020 of High Court of Jharkhand at Ranchi in WPC No. 1856 of 2018 - Case title: Steel Executives Federation of India (SEFI) vs UOI, CPFC & ors wherein at Para 6, it has been specified that the Hon’ble Supreme Court in case of Kusum Ingots & Alloys Ltd vs UOI [(2004) 6 SCC 254)] while considering the effect of the order passed by the High Court under Article 226 of Constitution of India questioning the Constitutionality of a central legislation has held as under:

The Court must have the requisite territorial Jurisdiction. An order passed on a writ petition questioning the constitutionality of a parliamentary Act, whether interim or final keeping in view the provisions contained in clause (2) of Article 226 of the Constitution of India, will have effect throughout the territory of India subject to course to the applicability of the Act.”"

"9. The “Inputs” to be fed as follows
a. Fill data only in PINK cells, One can make entries in ""Input"" sheet only, other sheets are protected
  1. Fill Name
  2. Fill dates from existing Normal pension from existing Normal ""Pension Pay Order"" (PPO)
  • (a) Date of birth,
  • (b) Date of joining PF and
  • (c) Date of Commencement of Normal Pension

Non Contributory Period, if any (nos. in Days), during service period except noncontributory period for last 12 months, if NCP exist in last 12 months, the calculation results will vary, NCP for last 12 months are not considered, if NCP exists in last 12 months, the calculations results will vary

iv. Service weightage 2 or 0 as per PPO
v. Date of commencement of Higher Pension (proposed)
vi. Last 12 months PF'able salary, it includes Basic wages, Dearness allowance (Cost of living allowance or under any other heading), Retaining allowance (production bonus or under any other heading) and Cash value of food concession.

(a) These monthly salaries must be without arrears, if any.
vii. Monthly Salary (on right side in L20 to O20, D22 to O22 etc., cells, below each month) (For Dec.95 -Input 15 days salary only)"

10. E & OE: This is rough indicative calculation and may vary from the actual figures of EPFO by (+/-) 1-2% approx.
